Refrigeration Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Engineer to join their dedicated service team in Liverpool . This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems, including cold rooms, display cabinets, and air conditioning units for a variety of clients in the retail and hospitality sectors. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of critical cooling equipment. Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting electrical components.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot complex issues within refrigeration circuits and control systems.
• Ensure all work complies with current F-Gas regulations and company safety standards.
• Maintain accurate service reports, including details of work performed, parts used, and time taken.
• Respond to emergency service calls as required to minimize equipment downtime.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Refrigeration Engineer or F-Gas Certified Air Conditioning Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, electrical systems, and fault diagnosis.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools specific to the refrigeration trade.
• Ability to work independently and manage a schedule of service calls effectively.
• Must hold a valid UK driving license and have a good geographical knowledge of the Liverpool area.
