Regional Operations Director

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Regional Operations Director to oversee and enhance operational performance across their Birmingham region. This pivotal role involves leading a team of operational managers, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and efficiency. You will be a key player in optimizing resource allocation, implementing innovative operational solutions, and cultivating a positive and productive work environment. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both remotely and from our Birmingham office, collaborating closely with local stakeholders and the central management team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and inspire a team of operations managers and staff across the designated region.
• Develop and execute regional operational plans to meet or exceed company targets for efficiency, quality, and profitability.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze trends, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and safety standards.
• Foster strong relationships with regional stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and local authorities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational processes and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Significant experience in a senior Operations Director or similar leadership role, preferably within a multi-site operation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex operational environments and drive significant business improvements.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and P&L responsibility.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience with hybrid work models and managing remote teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
