About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Regional Operations Director to oversee their operations across the Sunderland region. This critical leadership position is responsible for ensuring the efficiency, productivity, and profitability of all regional facilities and teams. You will be pivotal in implementing operational strategies, driving performance improvements, and maintaining high standards of quality and service delivery. This role requires a strong leader with extensive experience in operational management and a commitment to fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all day-to-day operational activities within the assigned region to ensure efficient and effective business operations.
• Develop and execute regional operational strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
• Monitor operational performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory standards within the region.
• Lead, mentor, and develop regional operational teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Manage regional budgets, resources, and operational expenditures to optimize profitability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in operations management , with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience in managing multiple sites or a large operational region.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management , logistics, and process optimization.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiency and cost reduction.
