Regional Property Development Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a strategic and experienced Regional Property Development Manager to lead their development pipeline across the South West region, based in Bristol . This senior role involves identifying new development opportunities, managing the entire development lifecycle from acquisition and planning through to construction and sales or letting. You will be responsible for feasibility studies, financial appraisals, securing planning permissions, and overseeing project delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a key leadership position within the organisation, driving growth and shaping the future property landscape in Bristol and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and appraise potential new property development sites and projects across the South West region.
• Conduct feasibility studies, financial modelling, and risk assessments for all development opportunities.
• Manage the planning application process, engaging with local authorities and stakeholders to secure necessary consents.
• Oversee the tendering process and appoint consultants and contractors for design and construction phases.
• Manage construction projects, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, quality, and safety standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with landowners, investors, local authorities, and other key partners.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in property development management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong understanding of the development process, including planning regulations, construction, and finance.
• Excellent financial appraisal and project management skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate project teams and manage external consultants and contractors.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with experience in dealing with diverse stakeholders.
• Degree in a relevant field such as Real Estate, Construction Management, or Planning.
