Remote Agronomist Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and independent Remote Agronomist Consultant to provide expert advice and support to agricultural producers across the UK. Operating entirely remotely from Birmingham , you will leverage your deep understanding of soil science, crop nutrition, and plant pathology to help clients optimize their yields, improve soil health, and implement sustainable practices. This role demands excellent analytical skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to deliver tailored recommendations through virtual consultations and detailed reports. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the productivity and environmental stewardship of farms without the need for on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote analysis of soil, crop, and pest data to diagnose issues and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide expert recommendations on fertilization, irrigation, pest management, and crop rotation strategies via virtual channels.
• Develop customized agronomic plans and reports for a diverse range of agricultural clients.
• Stay abreast of the latest research, technologies, and best practices in agronomy and sustainable agriculture.
• Deliver engaging online presentations and training sessions to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the client's technical team to integrate insights and refine service offerings.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in agronomy, crop science, or a closely related agricultural field.
• A degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related science discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data and provide clear, actionable advice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in virtual collaboration tools.
• Strong understanding of sustainable and precision agriculture techniques.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage a remote client portfolio effectively.
