Remote Agronomist Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Remote Agronomist Consultant to provide expert advice and support to agricultural businesses across the UK. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to leverage your extensive knowledge of crop science, soil health, and sustainable farming practices from anywhere. You will play a crucial role in helping farmers optimize yields, improve soil fertility, and implement environmentally sound agricultural strategies. This role is ideal for a seasoned agronomist looking for flexibility and the opportunity to impact farming practices on a national scale within the Agriculture & Forestry sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual consultations with farmers to assess crop health, soil conditions, and farming practices.
• Develop tailored recommendations for nutrient management, pest and disease control, and irrigation strategies.
• Advise on the adoption of sustainable and precision farming technologies.
• Prepare detailed reports and provide ongoing support to clients to achieve their agricultural goals.
• Stay abreast of the latest research, regulations, and best practices in agronomy.
• Collaborate with research institutions and industry stakeholders to advance agricultural knowledge.

Requirements

• A degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a related agricultural discipline.
• Significant proven experience as an Agronomist , with a strong understanding of diverse crop types and growing conditions.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
• Proficiency in using digital communication and collaboration tools.
• Strong client-facing skills and the ability to build trust and rapport remotely.
