Remote Agronomist Consultant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a knowledgeable and independent Remote Agronomist Consultant to provide expert advice and support to agricultural businesses throughout the UK. In this remote role, you will leverage your deep understanding of soil science, crop physiology, and sustainable farming practices to help clients enhance their yields, improve crop quality, and manage resources more effectively. You will conduct virtual consultations, analyze field data remotely, and develop customized strategies tailored to each client's specific needs and environmental conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced agronomist to offer their expertise on a flexible, remote basis and make a significant impact on agricultural sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert agronomic advice on crop nutrition, pest and disease management, and soil health through virtual channels.
• Analyze client field data, soil test results, and satellite imagery to diagnose issues and recommend solutions.
• Develop tailored crop management plans and advise on the implementation of sustainable farming practices.
• Stay current with research and innovations in agronomy and agricultural technology.
• Conduct virtual farm visits and detailed remote assessments.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction with provided services.

Requirements

• Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or a related agricultural field.
• Significant experience as an Agronomist or Agricultural Consultant.
• Proven ability to interpret soil analysis, plant tissue data, and field reports.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, adept at virtual client interaction.
• Proficiency with relevant agricultural software and remote collaboration tools.
• Knowledge of sustainable and organic farming methods is highly desirable.
