About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Remote Agronomist Specialist to join their innovative agricultural technology team, operating entirely remotely. You will provide expert advice and data-driven recommendations to farmers and agricultural businesses across the UK, focusing on optimizing crop health, yield, and sustainability through the use of advanced analytics and remote sensing technologies. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate complex agronomic principles and leverage digital tools to support our diverse client base, contributing to the advancement of precision agriculture from a home-based setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze soil, crop, and weather data to provide tailored agronomic recommendations to clients.
• Utilize remote sensing and GIS tools to monitor crop health, identify potential issues, and forecast yields.
• Develop strategies for pest, disease, and weed management, emphasizing integrated and sustainable approaches.
• Conduct virtual consultations and webinars to educate clients on best practices and new technologies.
• Collaborate with the R&D team on developing new analytical tools and services.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on agronomic findings and recommendations.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a related agricultural discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in practical agronomy or agricultural consulting.
• Proficiency in using data analysis software, GIS, and remote sensing platforms (e.g., Sentinel Hub, ArcGIS).
• Excellent understanding of plant physiology, soil science, and crop protection.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Self-motivated with proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
