Remote Agronomist Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly qualified Agronomist Specialist to provide expert advice and technical support to agricultural clients across the UK, operating on a fully remote basis. This role focuses on optimizing crop production, soil health, and farm profitability through scientific analysis and tailored recommendations. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of plant science, soil chemistry, and agricultural technologies to address complex challenges faced by modern farms. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced agronomist to work independently, utilizing cutting-edge tools and data analysis to influence sustainable and efficient agricultural practices nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical consultancy on crop nutrition, soil management, and pest/disease control strategies.
• Analyze soil samples, plant tissue data, and field reports to diagnose issues and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Develop customized crop management plans and fertilization programs for a variety of crops and growing conditions.
• Utilize remote sensing data, weather patterns, and farm management software to inform recommendations.
• Educate clients on best practices for improving yield, quality, and sustainability.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of agronomic research, new technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the agricultural sector.

Requirements

• A Master's degree or PhD in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience as an Agronomist , preferably with client-facing advisory experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in crop physiology, soil chemistry, and integrated pest management.
• Proficiency in using agricultural software, GIS, and data analysis tools for agronomic purposes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and remote client management skills.
• Ability to interpret complex scientific data and translate it into practical, actionable advice for farmers.
