About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and innovative Remote Automotive Software Engineer to join their cutting-edge development team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute to the future of automotive technology from anywhere. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions for next-generation vehicles, focusing on areas such as embedded systems, infotainment, or autonomous driving. Working collaboratively with a distributed team of experts, you will help shape the user experience and performance of our client's vehicles, driving innovation in the automotive sector without geographical boundaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy robust software for automotive applications, adhering to high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, product managers, and other software developers, using agile methodologies.
- Develop and maintain software for embedded systems, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and communication protocols used in vehicles.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in languages such as C, C++, Python, or Java.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues in development, testing, and production environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer , with specific experience in the automotive industry or embedded systems development.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).
- Familiarity with software development tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and bug tracking systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote team environment.
