About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Remote Automotive Software Engineer to join their innovative product development team, operating from Reading . You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing embedded software solutions for next-generation automotive systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software for automotive control units and systems.
- Implement software in C/C++ and other relevant programming languages, adhering to coding standards.
- Develop and integrate software components for features such as driver assistance systems, infotainment, and powertrain control.
- Utilize real-time operating systems (RTOS) and understand hardware-software interaction.
- Participate in software design reviews, code reviews, and system integration testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues in a remote setting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in embedded software development, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and experience with embedded Linux or RTOS.
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and software development tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team.
