About the Role
Our client is seeking a vigilant and skilled Aviation Cybersecurity Analyst to join their remote-first security operations team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safeguarding the digital infrastructure and sensitive data within the aviation sector against evolving cyber threats. You will monitor networks, analyze security events, investigate potential breaches, and implement robust security measures to protect critical aviation systems. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor aviation networks and systems for security threats, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activities using advanced security tools.
- Analyze security alerts and incidents, conduct forensic investigations, and develop incident response plans.
- Implement and manage cybersecurity controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data loss prevention (DLP) solutions.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on aviation-specific systems and applications.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation relevant to the aviation industry.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies affecting the aviation sector.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, incident response, or network security.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and best practices relevant to critical infrastructure.
- Proficiency with security information and event management (SIEM) tools, endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions, and vulnerability scanners.
- Experience with network security, cryptography, and cloud security concepts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, enabling effective remote collaboration from Nottinghamshire or other remote locations .
