Remote Aviation Cybersecurity Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and sharp-minded Remote Aviation Cybersecurity Analyst to protect their critical digital infrastructure. Operating entirely remotely from anywhere within the UK, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats targeting aviation systems. This role involves safeguarding sensitive data, ensuring the integrity of operational technology (OT) systems, and implementing robust security measures to defend against evolving cyber risks. You will collaborate with IT and operational teams to build a resilient cybersecurity posture in a field where security is paramount.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from various systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and OT networks.
• Analyze potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities, assessing their impact on aviation operations.
• Respond to security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and implement containment and eradication strategies.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices for aviation environments.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of systems.
• Provide cybersecurity awareness training to relevant personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst, preferably within the aviation or critical infrastructure sector.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and technologies.
• Experience with SIEM tools, threat intelligence platforms, and incident response frameworks.
• Knowledge of OT/ICS security challenges in aviation is a significant advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for remote collaboration.
