About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and self-motivated Remote Aviation Software Developer to join their globally distributed engineering team. You will work independently and collaboratively within a virtual environment, contributing to the design, development, testing, and deployment of high-quality software. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient software applications for aviation operations using languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Collaborate with product managers, domain experts, and other developers to define software requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Implement and manage cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) for software deployment and data management.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and mentor junior developers remotely.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues in production environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a software developer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in relevant programming languages and tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for working effectively in a remote , international team setting, irrespective of your Plymouth -based origin or preference.
