About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Remote Chemical Engineer to specialize in Process Optimization . This fully remote role offers the opportunity to significantly impact the efficiency and sustainability of chemical operations across multiple sites without the need for office presence. You will analyze complex process data, identify areas for improvement, and develop innovative solutions to enhance performance, reduce waste, and lower operational costs. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze process data from various manufacturing sites to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies for optimizing chemical processes, focusing on yield, energy consumption, and waste reduction.
- Utilize process simulation and modeling tools to test and validate optimization proposals.
- Collaborate with on-site engineering and operations teams to ensure successful implementation of optimization projects.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations on optimization initiatives and their projected outcomes.
- Stay current with advancements in process intensification, digital transformation, and sustainable chemical engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in chemical engineering, with a strong focus on process optimization and improvement.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and advanced data analysis techniques.
- Solid understanding of chemical thermodynamics, kinetics, and mass/energy balances.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously and effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams globally.
