About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Chemical Engineer with strong project management skills to join their fully remote team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of diverse chemical engineering projects, from initial concept through to commissioning. You will manage cross-functional teams, budgets, and timelines, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. As a remote project manager, you will utilize advanced collaboration tools to coordinate global efforts, drive project milestones, and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, supporting our client's ambitious growth and innovation strategies in the global chemical market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage capital and process improvement projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, operations, procurement) and external contractors.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all projects adhere to company safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality requirements.
• Communicate project status, updates, and critical issues to stakeholders regularly through virtual channels.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Proven experience (7+ years) in project management, specifically within the chemical or process industry.
• Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles and project lifecycle.
• PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with project management software and collaborative online tools for remote work.
