Remote Chemical Process Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Remote Chemical Process Design Engineer to join their engineering division. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility while demanding high levels of autonomy and technical expertise. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing chemical processes for various projects, utilizing advanced simulation tools and adhering to best practices. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a remote work environment and possesses a strong understanding of chemical engineering principles to deliver innovative and efficient process solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop conceptual and detailed process designs for chemical plants and equipment.
• Utilize process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD) to model and analyze process performance.
• Prepare process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specifications.
• Conduct process optimization studies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.
• Collaborate virtually with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering .
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in process design and engineering.
• Proficiency with process simulation and design software.
• Strong knowledge of unit operations, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
• Experience with P&IDs and PFDs development.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
