About the Role
Our client is pioneering a new approach to childcare and is seeking a proactive and organised Remote Childminder Coordinator to support their network of registered childminders across the UK, working entirely remotely from Belfast . You will be the primary point of contact for childminders, offering guidance, support, and administrative assistance to ensure they meet regulatory standards and provide exceptional childcare. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of childcare regulations, and the ability to manage a caseload effectively from a home-based office. You will be instrumental in maintaining the quality and compliance of the childminding service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to a portfolio of registered childminders via phone, email, and video conferencing.
- Conduct virtual risk assessments and compliance checks to ensure childminders adhere to all legal requirements and safeguarding policies.
- Assist childminders with administrative tasks, including record-keeping, documentation, and the application process for new registrations.
- Organise and deliver remote training sessions on various childcare topics, including safeguarding, health and safety, and curriculum development.
- Facilitate peer support networks among childminders, encouraging the sharing of best practices and collaborative problem-solving.
- Respond promptly and effectively to queries and concerns raised by childminders, parents, and relevant agencies.
Requirements
- A relevant childcare qualification (e.g., Level 3 in Childcare and Education) or significant experience in a childcare management or advisory role.
- Thorough knowledge of UK childcare legislation, including Ofsted (or equivalent) regulations, safeguarding, and health and safety requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and IT skills, with experience using virtual collaboration tools.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload, prioritize tasks, and work autonomously in a remote setting.
- A proactive and supportive approach, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality assurance.
- Must be comfortable working from home and have a reliable internet connection.
