About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Remote Civil Design Engineer to join their fully distributed team, supporting projects across the UK with a focus on the Northern Ireland region. You will be responsible for developing detailed designs for various infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet all technical specifications and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed civil engineering designs for infrastructure projects, including site development, drainage, and utilities.
• Utilize advanced design software to create technical drawings, models, and specifications.
• Perform engineering calculations and analysis to ensure design integrity and compliance.
• Collaborate effectively with remote project managers, engineers, and clients via virtual communication tools.
• Review designs for constructability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to environmental standards.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in civil engineering design and technology.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in civil design , with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software.
• Solid understanding of geotechnical principles , hydrology, and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines.
