Our client is looking for a skilled Remote Civil Design Engineer to contribute to innovative infrastructure projects from anywhere in the UK. This position focuses on the detailed design aspects of civil engineering works, including site development, drainage systems, and transportation infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed design calculations and analysis for various civil engineering infrastructure components.
- Develop comprehensive design drawings, schematics, and technical reports using CAD and other design software.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant national standards, regulations, and client specifications.
- Undertake design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Collaborate virtually with project managers, other engineering disciplines, and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and site support documentation as needed.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with a strong design focus.
- Significant experience in civil engineering design, including roads, drainage, and earthworks.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar platforms.
- Thorough understanding of UK design standards, building codes, and environmental considerations.
- Excellent technical communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly in writing.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload effectively in a remote setting.
