Remote Civil Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake the design and development of civil engineering schemes, including roads, drainage, and site infrastructure, using advanced CAD software .
• Perform detailed calculations for structural elements, earthworks, and hydraulic systems.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and other consultants through virtual communication channels.
• Ensure all designs adhere to relevant UK standards, building regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Review design progress, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies in a remote context.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering design, with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D , and experience with other relevant design and modelling tools.
• Demonstrated ability to manage workload effectively and deliver high-quality work in a remote setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear virtual collaboration.
