Remote Civil Engineer - Water Management Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Civil Engineer with a specialization in water management and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) . This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced water management strategies, including flood risk assessments, surface water management plans, and SuDS schemes.
• Conduct detailed hydraulic modelling and analysis using specialized software to predict and mitigate water-related issues.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, design drawings, and specifications for water infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate virtually with project managers, environmental consultants, and clients to ensure design feasibility and regulatory compliance.
• Stay abreast of advancements in water engineering, sustainable practices, and relevant UK legislation.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and contribute to proposal development for new opportunities.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline, with a focus on water resources or environmental engineering.
• Professional qualification such as Chartered Engineer (CEng) or substantial progress towards it.
• Proven track record in the design and management of water-related civil engineering projects, specifically in SuDS and flood management.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modelling software (e.g., InfoWorks, HEC-RAS, MicroDrainage).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting.
