About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Remote Construction Estimator to provide accurate cost assessments for a wide range of construction projects. Working from home, you will analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to calculate the most cost-effective bid. This role is crucial for securing new business and ensuring profitability. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of construction materials and labor costs, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with remote project teams. You will be instrumental in evaluating the financial viability of potential projects for our client, contributing directly to business growth from any location within the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Calculate the quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required for projects.
• Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare bid proposals and present cost breakdowns to management and clients.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities associated with project costs.
• Maintain a database of costs, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
