Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Remote Construction Planner to contribute to their diverse portfolio of national construction projects. Working entirely from home, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing detailed construction programs and schedules. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are planned efficiently, resources are allocated effectively, and timelines are met across various sites throughout the UK . It’s an ideal position for a meticulous planner who thrives in a remote setting and possesses a deep understanding of construction sequencing and methodology, able to visualize and communicate complex project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive construction master schedules and detailed phasing plans using industry-standard planning software.
- Analyze project scopes, identify critical path activities, and forecast resource requirements.
- Collaborate remotely with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to gather input and ensure buy-in for project plans.
- Monitor project progress against established baselines, identifying potential delays and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Prepare regular progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and scenario analyses for management review.
- Ensure all planning activities align with contractual requirements, company standards, and project objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler, with a strong background in planning complex construction projects.
- Proficiency in advanced planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta Powerproject.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and logic relationships.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain high accuracy in a remote work environment .
