Remote Cybersecurity Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Cybersecurity Specialist to join their distributed security team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute expert cybersecurity knowledge from anywhere. You will play a key role in protecting the organisation's digital infrastructure from evolving threats, implementing security controls, and advising on best practices. This role requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively across virtual teams to maintain a strong security posture for our client's operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage cybersecurity controls, including endpoint protection, firewalls, and vulnerability management tools.
• Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, providing detailed analysis and recommendations.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to proactively defend the organisation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Cybersecurity Specialist role or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of network security, cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), and application security.
• Experience with security frameworks like NIST CSF or ISO 27001.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are highly desirable.
