Remote Data Analyst - Mining Operations

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join their innovative operations team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within the UK. You will be responsible for collecting, interpreting, and visualizing data from various mining operations to identify trends, improve efficiency, and support strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of data analysis principles and the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights for operational improvements and resource management.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and organize data from diverse sources, including operational logs, sensor data, and geological reports.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in operational data to highlight areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with operations managers and site teams to understand data needs and provide analytical support.
• Perform statistical analysis and modeling to forecast operational performance and resource utilization.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, with a focus on operational data.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable working remotely and collaborating across teams.
