About the Role

Our client is urgently seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Lawyer to join their established legal team on a fully remote basis. This pivotal role involves advising on all aspects of data privacy and protection law, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations across the organisation's operations. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing robust data protection policies and procedures, guiding the business through evolving legal landscapes. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal counsel on GDPR, CCPA, and other global data privacy regulations.
• Develop, review, and implement comprehensive data protection policies, procedures, and privacy notices.
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
• Manage data breach incidents, including investigation, notification, and remediation efforts.
• Advise on data subject rights requests and ensure compliance with consent management requirements.
• Stay abreast of emerging data privacy laws and best practices, advising the business on proactive compliance measures.

Requirements

• Qualified Lawyer with significant experience in data protection and privacy law.
• In-depth knowledge of GDPR and other international privacy frameworks.
• Experience in drafting privacy policies, consent mechanisms, and contractual data protection clauses.
• Ability to conduct thorough DPIAs and advise on legal risks associated with data processing activities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven track record of working effectively in a remote , independent capacity.
