Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Remote Dispatch Coordinator to manage and coordinate transportation logistics from a virtual setting. In this role, you will be the central point of contact for drivers, clients, and internal teams, ensuring efficient and timely movement of goods. You will utilize advanced dispatch software to assign routes, track shipments, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during transit. Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch drivers for deliveries and pick-ups, optimizing routes for efficiency.
- Monitor real-time shipment progress and proactively address any delays or disruptions.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, providing instructions and support throughout their shifts.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records and update shipment status in the logistics management system.
- Liaise with customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any transportation-related inquiries.
- Coordinate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure smooth logistical operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or a similar transportation coordination role.
- Proficiency in using dispatch software and standard office applications.
