About the Role

Our client is seeking an organised and proactive Remote Dispatch Coordinator to manage transportation logistics from a home-based office. In this role, you will be the central point of contact for coordinating the dispatch of goods and services, ensuring all deliveries are scheduled efficiently and meet customer expectations. You will leverage technology to track vehicles, communicate with drivers, and troubleshoot any issues that arise in real-time. This position is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of operations within the Driving & Transport sector, and it offers the flexibility of working remotely in or around Milton Keynes .

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers for deliveries, ensuring optimal route planning and timely service.
• Monitor driver locations and delivery progress using GPS tracking and communication systems.
• Respond promptly to dispatch calls, emails, and messages, addressing issues and making necessary adjustments to schedules.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs and update delivery statuses in the company's transportation management system (TMS).
• Liaise with customers to confirm delivery details and provide updates on shipment status.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a dispatching, coordination, or logistics role, preferably within transportation .
• Proficiency with dispatch software and GPS tracking technology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup for remote work.
