About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly capable and proactive Remote Dispatch Manager to lead their logistics dispatch operations, supporting the Liverpool area and surrounding regions. This fully remote position requires an individual who can effectively manage a team of dispatchers and drivers from a distance, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods. You will be responsible for optimizing dispatch schedules, monitoring fleet performance, and troubleshooting issues to maintain high service standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in logistics management within a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the logistics dispatch process remotely, ensuring operational efficiency.
• Lead, train, and motivate a remote team of dispatchers and drivers, setting clear performance expectations.
• Develop and optimize daily dispatch schedules, assigning routes and vehicles to maximize efficiency and minimize transit times.
• Monitor real-time delivery progress using telematics and tracking systems, proactively addressing any potential disruptions or delays.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers and operational issues, providing timely support and solutions.
• Analyze dispatch data to identify trends, improve processes, and enhance overall delivery performance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics dispatch or operations management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Proven experience managing remote teams and operations effectively.
• Strong understanding of route planning, fleet management, and dispatch software.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage remotely.
• Proficiency with GPS tracking and telematics systems is essential.
