About the Role

Our client is actively searching for a skilled and organized Remote Dispatcher to join their dynamic logistics team, operating remotely from the Norwich area. In this vital role, you will be responsible for coordinating and assigning routes to our fleet of drivers, ensuring efficient and timely deliveries across various locations. You will leverage advanced dispatch software and communication tools to manage the flow of goods, troubleshoot unexpected issues, and maintain high levels of service. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while being central to the success of our client's transport operations in Norfolk.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign and manage daily delivery routes for a fleet of drivers using specialized dispatch software.
• Monitor driver progress in real-time, providing necessary support and rerouting as needed to optimize efficiency.
• Serve as the primary communication link between drivers, management, and customers regarding delivery status and potential issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve logistical challenges, such as traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns, or customer access problems.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver performance, and delivery confirmations.
• Analyze dispatch data to identify trends and suggest improvements for operational efficiency and cost savings.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or a similar operational role.
• Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and communication platforms.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
• Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must have a reliable home office setup with stable internet connectivity for uninterrupted remote work.
