About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Remote E-commerce Data Scientist to leverage data to drive strategic decisions and optimize customer experiences across their online platforms. This role involves advanced statistical analysis, machine learning model development, and predictive analytics to uncover actionable insights from vast datasets. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems and identify new growth opportunities within the e-commerce domain. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain predictive models for customer behavior, sales forecasting, and inventory management using machine learning techniques .
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights related to customer segmentation, personalization, and conversion rate optimization .
- Design and execute A/B tests and other experiments to measure the impact of new features and marketing initiatives.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines and ensure data quality and integrity for all analytical projects.
- Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through compelling visualizations and reports.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science , machine learning, and e-commerce analytics, applying new methodologies to enhance business outcomes.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist , with a significant focus on e-commerce analytics and modeling.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Expertise in SQL for complex data querying and manipulation, and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms , and data mining techniques.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting, managing multiple projects effectively.
