Remote E-commerce Data Scientist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain predictive models for customer behavior, sales forecasting, and inventory management using machine learning techniques .
• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights related to customer segmentation, personalization, and conversion rate optimization .
• Design and execute A/B tests and other experiments to measure the impact of new features and marketing initiatives.
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines and ensure data quality and integrity for all analytical projects.
• Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through compelling visualizations and reports.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science , machine learning, and e-commerce analytics, applying new methodologies to enhance business outcomes.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist , with a significant focus on e-commerce analytics and modeling.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Expertise in SQL for complex data querying and manipulation, and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms , and data mining techniques.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting, managing multiple projects effectively.
