Remote Early Years Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Remote Early Years Consultant to provide expert advice and support to childcare providers nationwide. You will leverage your extensive background in early childhood education to guide settings in enhancing their curriculum, operational practices, and compliance with regulatory standards. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the chance to make a significant impact on the quality of early years provision across the UK. You will work independently, but also collaborate with a network of professionals to share best practices and drive positive change within the sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultancy services to nurseries, childminders, and other early years settings via remote communication channels.
• Advise on curriculum development, pedagogical approaches, and assessment strategies aligned with national standards.
• Support settings in improving operational efficiency, staff training, and parent engagement.
• Conduct virtual quality assurance reviews and provide actionable feedback for improvement.
• Develop resources, training materials, and best practice guides for early years professionals.
• Stay abreast of the latest research, policy changes, and trends in early childhood education and development.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Level 5 or a degree qualification in Early Years Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Significant experience (5+ years) in a senior management or leadership role within the early years sector.
• Deep understanding of national early years frameworks (e.g., EYFS in England, Curriculum for Excellence in Scotland).
• Excellent consultancy, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to advise remotely.
• Proven ability to analyse needs, develop strategies, and implement solutions effectively.
• Proficiency in using virtual collaboration tools and digital platforms for client interaction.
