About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Remote Electrical Systems Architect to lead the strategic design and development of their global electrical infrastructure. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be responsible for defining the high-level architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across all our electrical systems. Your expertise will guide the technical roadmap, influencing future innovations and ensuring our systems meet the evolving demands of our business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the overall architecture for the company's electrical systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop technical standards, best practices, and design patterns for electrical system development and deployment.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance system performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software development, IT operations, and product management, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Conduct architectural reviews and provide technical leadership to engineering teams, fostering innovation and best practices in electrical system design.
- Ensure all architectural designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and security protocols for a remote-first environment.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a significant focus on system architecture and design.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing complex, large-scale electrical systems.
- Deep understanding of electrical system principles, including power management, control systems, and communication protocols.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems is highly desirable.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and translate complex requirements into actionable plans.
