About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Remote Electrical Systems Engineer to join their distributed team. While the role is fully remote, there may be occasional requirements for site visits to various project locations, including Plymouth . You will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated electrical systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex electrical systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Conduct performance analysis, simulations, and testing of electrical system designs.
- Specify electrical components, materials, and equipment, managing procurement processes as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and external vendors using virtual communication tools.
- Provide remote technical support, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for electrical systems in operation.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in electrical system design and engineering.
- Proficiency with electrical design software (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, AutoCAD Electrical).
- Strong understanding of power electronics, control systems, and embedded systems design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously in a remote setting.
