About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Remote Energy Systems Architect to lead the design and evolution of their cutting-edge energy platforms. This is a fully remote position, empowering you to work from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for defining the overall architecture of our energy systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. This role requires a deep understanding of distributed energy resources, smart grid technologies, and data analytics, coupled with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into robust architectural blueprints. You will collaborate with engineering teams across the globe to drive innovation in the clean Energy space.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and define the high-level architecture for new energy systems and platforms, focusing on scalability and resilience.
- Develop technical roadmaps and strategies for the integration of renewable energy sources, storage, and smart grid technologies.
- Establish architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices for the development of energy solutions .
- Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to ensure alignment between architectural vision and product delivery.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and frameworks to support the company's energy initiatives.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing complex software or systems architectures, with a significant focus on the energy sector .
- Proven expertise in distributed systems, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, and data architecture.
- Deep understanding of smart grid technologies, IoT platforms, and renewable energy integration principles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to influence technical direction remotely.
