About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Remote Esports Coach & Strategist to guide and mentor aspiring competitive gamers and teams, primarily focusing on titles popular within the gaming community, with outreach efforts to players in the Norwich area and nationally. This position involves analyzing gameplay, developing effective team strategies, providing individual player coaching, and fostering a positive and growth-oriented team environment, all conducted virtually. You will leverage your deep understanding of competitive gaming, meta analysis, and player psychology to help teams achieve peak performance and secure victories in online tournaments, contributing significantly to the development of esports talent from a distance.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze team and individual player performance through gameplay footage and statistical data.
• Develop and communicate effective in-game strategies, tactics, and counter-strategies tailored to specific opponents and game metas.
• Conduct regular coaching sessions (live or recorded) to improve player mechanics, decision-making, and communication.
• Provide mentorship and guidance on mental fortitude, teamwork, and competitive mindset development.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest game patches, meta shifts, and professional esports trends.
• Foster a positive, disciplined, and communicative team dynamic within a remote setting.

Requirements

• Proven experience in coaching or high-level play within a specific popular esports title (e.g., League of Legends, Valorant, CS:GO).
• Deep understanding of game mechanics, strategy, meta-analysis, and team coordination.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable advice.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills suitable for virtual coaching.
• Experience with VOD review software and communication platforms (e.g., Discord, Zoom).
• Ability to work independently, manage schedules, and adapt to the evolving landscape of esports.
