Remote Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and proactive Remote Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations and strategic financial planning for their digitally native organisation. This position is crucial for ensuring the financial health, compliance, and strategic growth of the company, with a fully remote working setup based anywhere in the UK. You will lead a team, manage financial reporting, and implement robust financial controls. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's long-term goals.
• Manage all aspects of financial accounting , including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements , budget variance analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws , and reporting requirements.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance remote culture.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial stakeholders.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant experience in a controller or similar senior finance role.
• Proven experience in financial management and strategic planning, preferably in a tech or e-commerce environment.
• Expertise in financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and UK tax legislation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a remote finance team effectively.
• Proficiency with modern financial software and ERP systems .
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills suitable for a remote setup.
