About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly organized and proactive Remote Fleet Dispatch Coordinator to manage the logistical operations of their transport fleet from a remote location. You will be responsible for coordinating drivers, planning routes, and ensuring the efficient movement of vehicles and goods across the UK. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and proficiency in using dispatch software. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of service delivery and operational efficiency, working independently while remaining a key point of contact for our drivers and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and assign drivers and vehicles for delivery routes, optimizing for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor driver progress using GPS tracking and communication systems, providing support and addressing issues in real-time.
• Plan and manage delivery schedules, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• Maintain accurate records of fleet movements, driver hours, and delivery confirmations.
• Liaise with clients and warehouse staff to coordinate pick-up and drop-off arrangements.
• Respond promptly to unforeseen circumstances such as traffic delays or vehicle breakdowns, implementing contingency plans.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics coordination role.
• Excellent understanding of transport regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
