About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Remote Fleet Dispatcher to join their virtual operations team. You will be instrumental in managing and coordinating a fleet of vehicles across the UK from a remote setting, ensuring efficient routing, driver support, and timely deliveries. This role is key to maintaining the seamless flow of logistics operations and requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills within the digital transport management space.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage a diverse fleet of vehicles remotely using advanced dispatch software.
• Assign routes to drivers, optimising for efficiency, time, and cost.
• Provide real-time support and communication to drivers on the road.
• Track shipments and deliveries, proactively identifying and resolving potential delays.
• Liaise with customers and internal departments to ensure smooth delivery operations.
• Maintain accurate records of fleet activities, driver performance, and delivery confirmations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a dispatch, logistics, or fleet management role, ideally remotely.
• Proficiency with dispatch and route optimisation software and systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong understanding of UK road networks and general transport logistics principles.
• Comfortable using digital communication tools and working from a home office setup.
