Remote Fleet Dispatcher

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly organized and communicative Remote Fleet Dispatcher to manage their transportation operations from any location within the UK. This fully remote role requires an individual who can effectively coordinate drivers, optimize routes, and ensure the efficient movement of goods, all while working from a home-based office. You will be the central point of contact for drivers and clients, ensuring seamless communication and problem resolution in a fast-paced logistics environment. Key Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers efficiently based on delivery schedules, routes, and vehicle availability, managing all communication remotely.
• Monitor vehicle locations and progress in real-time using GPS tracking software.
• Respond promptly to driver inquiries, address issues such as delays or breakdowns, and implement solutions.
• Coordinate with warehouse and customer service teams to ensure smooth transport operations.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, including driver hours, delivery times, and vehicle status.
• Optimize routes to improve efficiency, reduce fuel consumption, and minimize delivery times for the fleet.

Requirements

• Previous experience in fleet dispatching, transport coordination , or a similar role.
• Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and communication tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing a remote team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
• Must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home working environment.
