About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and organized Remote Fleet Operations Coordinator to manage and optimize their national fleet from a remote location. This critical role involves overseeing daily fleet activities, ensuring compliance, monitoring vehicle performance, and supporting drivers across the country. You will leverage technology and communication tools to maintain operational efficiency and address any challenges that arise. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and experience in logistics or fleet management, comfortable working autonomously and contributing to a seamless national operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor fleet activities, including vehicle location, status, and driver performance using specialized software.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules and repairs, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Manage driver communication, providing support, updates, and addressing queries remotely.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies.
• Analyze fleet data to identify trends, optimize routes, and improve overall efficiency.
• Respond promptly to operational issues, accidents, or breakdowns, coordinating appropriate responses.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fleet management , logistics coordination, or a similar operational role.
• Strong proficiency with fleet management software and communication platforms.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong understanding of UK transportation regulations and best practices.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise with drivers and stakeholders.
