About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and organized Remote Fleet Operations Coordinator to manage and optimize their fleet's performance from a home-based position. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of daily fleet operations, coordinating maintenance, managing driver schedules, and tracking vehicle data. This role demands excellent communication and problem-solving skills to effectively manage a dispersed fleet and support drivers across various locations, all while working remotely and contributing to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily fleet activities, including vehicle dispatch, route planning, and driver scheduling.
- Monitor vehicle performance, maintenance needs, and compliance with safety regulations using fleet management software.
- Process and verify all fleet-related documentation, such as maintenance records, mileage logs, and fuel reports.
- Act as a primary point of contact for drivers, providing support and addressing operational queries or issues promptly.
- Assist in the procurement of parts and services for vehicle maintenance and repair, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Generate reports on fleet utilization, costs, and key performance indicators to support management decisions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fleet operations , logistics coordination, or a similar role, with a strong preference for remote work experience.
- Proficiency in using fleet management software and related technologies.
- Understanding of vehicle maintenance requirements and UK transportation regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a remote setting.
