Remote Freight Forwarder

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Remote Freight Forwarder to manage international and domestic shipments from the comfort of their own home. This role involves coordinating the movement of goods for clients, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and optimizing logistics to provide cost-effective and timely delivery solutions. You will act as the main point of contact for clients, carriers, and customs agents, navigating the complexities of global trade and ensuring a seamless shipping experience. Key Responsibilities

• Arrange and manage international and domestic freight shipments (air, sea, road, rail).
• Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including customs declarations and bills of lading.
• Negotiate rates and terms with carriers and service providers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Track shipments, monitor transit times, and proactively resolve any delays or issues.
• Provide clients with regular updates on their shipment status and address inquiries promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant import/export regulations and customs requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Freight Forwarder or in a related international logistics role.
• In-depth knowledge of shipping processes, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
• Familiarity with various transportation modes and carrier operations.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using freight forwarding software and standard office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously and work effectively in a remote setting.
