About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and versatile Remote HR Generalist to join their fully distributed team, supporting operations across the UK , with a key focus on maintaining robust HR practices for their employees based in or connected to Belfast . This role is critical for ensuring consistent HR support, fostering a strong company culture, and managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle in a virtual environment. You will be a key point of contact for employees and managers, providing essential guidance and support on a wide array of HR matters, and ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws from the comfort of your home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive HR support to employees and line managers remotely, covering recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and offboarding.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are adapted for a remote-first organisation and compliant with Northern Ireland employment law.
- Manage complex employee relations cases, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance management, offering solutions tailored to a remote workforce.
- Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits, ensuring fairness and competitiveness across the employee base.
- Facilitate virtual training sessions and promote employee engagement initiatives designed for a dispersed team.
- Maintain accurate HR records within the HRIS, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality for all employees.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a broad HR Generalist role, with demonstrable success in managing HR functions remotely.
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, specifically as it pertains to Northern Ireland .
- Strong understanding of talent acquisition, employee engagement, and performance management strategies for remote teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive and empathetic approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and virtual collaboration tools is essential.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent professional HR certification is highly valued.
