About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Remote HR Specialist to join their distributed team, based remotely but serving operations in Glasgow and beyond. This role is designed for an individual who excels in a virtual environment, providing essential HR support across various functions, including employee onboarding, HR policy guidance, and engagement initiatives. You will be instrumental in ensuring a consistent and positive employee experience, regardless of location, and supporting the development of remote work best practices. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the HR function in a fully remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for remote employees.
• Serve as a point of contact for employees on HR-related queries, policies, and procedures.
• Support the implementation and administration of HR programs and initiatives.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of HR documentation and knowledge bases.
• Contribute to projects focused on enhancing remote employee engagement and culture.
• Ensure compliance with employment regulations relevant to a remote workforce.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a HR Specialist or similar HR generalist role, preferably with remote experience.
• Strong understanding of HR principles, employee relations, and employment law.
• Excellent virtual communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with HRIS and other remote work technologies.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks effectively from a remote location.
• CIPD qualification is an advantage.
