About the Role
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Remote Industrial Engineer who is a specialist in Lean Manufacturing to join their distributed workforce. This role is pivotal in guiding and implementing lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence and eliminate waste across the organization. You will work from your home office, analyzing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and facilitating change to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This position is ideal for a proactive engineer dedicated to fostering a lean culture and making a substantial impact on operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques, including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, and Kanban systems.
- Analyze current production processes to identify waste, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in efficiency and flow.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams in identifying and implementing solutions to improve product quality, reduce lead times, and lower operational costs.
- Develop and maintain visual management systems and performance dashboards to track progress and sustain lean gains.
- Train and mentor employees at all levels on lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Continuously assess and refine lean strategies to ensure ongoing alignment with business objectives and operational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience implementing and driving Lean Manufacturing initiatives in an industrial setting.
- Proven expertise in various lean tools and methodologies, with a strong track record of successful project outcomes.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and change management skills.
- Ability to analyze process data and develop practical, data-driven solutions.
- Strong preference for candidates with Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
