Remote Industrial Engineer - Lean Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Industrial Engineer with a strong background as a Lean Specialist to join their distributed operations team. This role, with operational ties to Norwich, Norfolk , will be instrumental in driving lean transformation across multiple manufacturing sites. You will analyze processes, develop improvement strategies, and guide teams through the implementation of lean principles to enhance efficiency, quality, and reduce waste. This position is ideal for a self-motivated engineer who excels in a remote setting and is passionate about championing lean methodologies to achieve significant operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for lean implementation.
• Develop and execute comprehensive lean transformation strategies, including Kaizen events and value stream mapping.
• Provide remote coaching and guidance to site teams on lean principles and best practices.
• Design and implement standardized work procedures and visual management systems.
• Monitor lean program performance and report on key metrics and continuous improvement achievements.
• Facilitate virtual workshops and training sessions on lean tools and techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a specialization in lean manufacturing .
• Proven track record of successfully implementing lean initiatives and achieving measurable results.
• Expertise in a wide range of lean tools and methodologies (e.g., 5S, VSM, Poka-Yoke, JIT).
• Excellent remote communication, facilitation, and change management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
