Remote Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and self-motivated Remote Industrial Engineer to join their dispersed operations team, supporting facilities including those in the Nottingham region. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who excels in a remote work environment, focusing on the analysis, design, and optimisation of production and operational processes from anywhere. You will leverage digital tools and virtual collaboration to drive efficiency improvements, streamline workflows, and reduce costs across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis of operational and production processes using remote access and digital tools.
• Design and recommend process improvements, automation solutions, and workflow enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for diverse operational contexts.
• Utilise simulation software and data analytics to model process changes and predict outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with on-site teams, manufacturing personnel, and management through virtual communication channels.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings, recommendations, and project progress to stakeholders across different locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial engineering or process engineering role.
• Proven ability to work effectively and autonomously in a fully remote setting.
• Strong proficiency in process analysis, simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic), and data analytics tools.
• Excellent virtual communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is highly advantageous.
