About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly qualified Remote Infection Control Officer to establish and maintain rigorous infection prevention and control standards for their operations, particularly those serving the Plymouth community. In this critical, fully remote position, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive infection control strategies. Your expertise will guide policies, training, and monitoring efforts to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections and ensure a safe environment for clients and staff. This role requires a deep understanding of microbiology, epidemiology, and public health best practices, applied through effective remote collaboration and communication technologies. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and update infection prevention and control policies and procedures based on current evidence and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct remote risk assessments and identify potential infection hazards in various settings.
• Design and deliver infection control training programs for healthcare professionals and support staff via virtual platforms.
• Monitor infection rates and trends, analyzing data to identify areas for intervention and improvement.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and external agencies to ensure compliance with infection control guidelines.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse or equivalent healthcare professional qualification with specialized training in infection control.
